Speaker: DR. Jann Michael Weinand

Title: Exploring the trilemma of cost-efficiency, landscape impact and regional equality in onshore wind expansion planning

Speaker bio : Dr.-Ing. Jann Weinand is head of the research group “Complex Energy System Models and Data Structures” at the Institute of Energy and Climate Research – Techno-economic Systems Analysis (IEK-3) at the Research Facility Jülich, Germany. His research focuses on the techno-economic and socially acceptable system integration of renewable energies in municipal and (inter-)national energy systems. He holds a PhD in energy economics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a M.Sc. in industrial engineering with specialization in mechanical engineering (energy technology) from RWTH Aachen University.
