Speaker: Julie Mulvaney Kemp

Title: Interactions between hybrid power plantdevelopment and local transmission in congested regions

Speaker bio: 

JulieMulvaney Kemp is a Research Scientist in the Electricity Markets and Policy Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Julie focuses on the integration of renewable generation into the electricity grid, specifically the relationships between variable generation, energy storage, and transmission, the interconnection of new resources, and solar market developments. Her work incorporates methods from operations research, economics, and data science.

Julie holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in IndustrialEngineering & Operations Research from the University of California,Berkeley. She also holds a B.S. in Systems Science & Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
